A Clone is an exact replica of an original organism. It is a direct copy of DNA. Scientists are interested in clones because they can help repopulate endangered species and because they are exactly the same we can use them for studying and experiments. Clones could also help us to make body parts that humans need to survive. For example, if a person needs a new heart or kidney, they can take one from a clone.
